More affordable housing needed

The lack of affordable housing in southern Oxfordshire makes it difficult for locals to remain in their communities.

The Labour Party will help people to live locally by building 200,000 homes nationally per year. It is crucial that these homes are affordable to the people that need them. Stephen Webb says, "I am very concerned that the Vale of White Horse District Council plans to reduce the number of affordable houses in new developments from 40% to 35%. My priority is to ensure that there are houses that are affordable to allow people to remain in their local communities if they wish to. The council's plans move in the wrong direction."
