Thank you for your support

Thank you to everyone who voted for me in yesterday's general election. Obviously I am disappointed with the national result, but I am pleased that Labour's share of the vote increased both locally and nationally, with Labour moving from third to second in the Wantage constituency. We had a civilised campaign and I think I am allowed a little smile that the parties that claimed Wantage was a two horse race came third and fourth....

The Labour Party will still fight for the best deal for everyone across the Wantage constituency. The Tories have made some big promises, some copied from Labour, and we will hold Ed Vaizey to account during this parliament.
